His vision came from struggling to find relevant resources that actually work with Uganda's slow internet."

He got his first computer skills recognition at 12 and quickly became the family's "IT person."He learned AI through free online courses and started experimenting with simple chatbots. He's particularly proud of making the AI work well even with Uganda's shortage of needed resources."

Paul focuses on making SomaGPT work smoothly on low-end Android phones - which is what most Ugandan students actually use. He tests all features in the college computer room first, because "if it works here, it'll work anywhere." Paul handles the app's design and ensures it doesn't use too much data."
